04 f150 on SD 7.3 chassis.

I have a 04 f150 lariat in great shape with 330k miles. Thinking of trying to set the body onto a sd with a 7.3. The wheel base will be with in an inch or so. My concern is the computer running both. Anybody have any experience with this.

cant say I have any good input for you, but that sounds awesome. Please post up some pictures as you go.

Im sure it is possible, anything is possible, but It probably wont be as simple as just plopping the body on the frame.

Re: 04 f150 on SD 7.3 chassis.

Just to start I can imagine the body mounts will be a battle. I am pretty sure the SD is a wider frame than a 150 so that might be a hard one to tackle. Secondly is space under the hood. I know the 5.4 is a large motor but is it 7.3 large? The wiring will be a hassle considering I think 04 was a change year for the 150s and if they are anything like the 04 rangers the gauges went all electric. Meaning they are fed off the computer rather than off the engine and other sensors directly.

Either way nothing is impossible!
