2000 f-250 fummins lights flickering

So my truck started out as a v 10 truck it was a 5 speed now it has a 12 valve with a zf6 in it now. at idle the headlights and dash lights and cargo lights all flicker up and down I have a new alternator on it and voltage regulator on it any ideas on what else it could be brand new batteries as well do I need to put a 6.0 style alternator on it?

Its the external regulator. Been pondering doing something about it, but havent bothered to look into it much myself.
