2005 F250 (No speedo after ZF6/CR cummins swap)

I have pretty much exhausted the forums and Google trying to figure out what I need to do to get my Speedo working. I did a CR Cummins swap along with the ZF6 swap but, I am pretty sure i did not disturb any of the wiring needed to operate the speedo. I could be wrong but wouldn't the VSS still come from the sensor on the rear diff? My truck does have ABS and yes the ABS light is on as well. Any ideas on where to tackle this problem? I need to get this working ASAP.

Thanks
Mike

Re: 2005 F250 (No speedo after ZF6/CR cummins swap)

I did more digging and i found that the two pins which should have 12v constant are not getting anything at all. I made a jumper from the battery to the two maxi fuses to test and sure enough with power to the ABS module the speedo works. Now I need to figure out why there is no power to the fuses. I did not see any mention of a ABS Relay so i assume the main power has been terminated through the mods to the engine harness. Anyone have any ideas?

Something very odd i noticed tonight while driving my truck is that the faster i go the higher the MPG goes until it bottoms out at 99.9mpg. I assume this function will no longer work with the conversion but, i had hopes it would be somewhat close. hahaha

Just wondering how you have got on with this? I have just put a CR in my 02 and I had to cut the speedo wire from the ABS to get the transmission to change, so now I have no speedo but my abs light isn't on but came on when I was looking to tap into the VSS from the diff. What wires did you get your VSS from?

Re: 2005 F250 (No speedo after ZF6/CR cummins swap)

I'm having a problem with this as well.

Dodge side C130 connector.

pin 44 - Output speed sensor signal (DG/BR)
pin 45 - Speed sensor ground (DG/VT)

05 ford C135 ABS connector

pin 21 - Vehicle speed sensor signal (GY/BK)
pin 16 - chassis ground (LG/YE)

I hooked 44 to 21 and 45 to 16.

It did nothing. I have a live grid on my laptop and driving the truck, the VSS was zero speed.

I have this problem too... Maybe just make a hillbilly jumper to the ABS module?
