Looking for some information on converting a OBS 2 wheel drive Super Duty to a 4 wheel drive? Any direction or information would be a great help, thanks

Re: Super Duty Conversion

When I did my ZF6 conversion the tranny I bought was a 2WD so I went with a divorced NP205. It would be pretty easy for you to do and no electronics involved.

Pickup a front axle assembly from a similar year 4x4, buy a rebuilt NP205 and NP205 shifter (or twin stick it).

In Canada we have a good NP205 supplier callled Northwest Fabworks, I'm sure they'd sell all the t-case parts you'd need.

You'll need to make a custom mount for your NP205 and you'll need to shorten your rear drive shaft and have a shorty drive shaft for the divorced T/C made as well as a drive shaft for the front axle.

2004 F-350, P-Pumped 24V Cummins at 17*, #3 Colt Cam, Weston DV Valves, DDP 50HP, 4000 GSK, FASS, DPS Twins D-tech 62 over HT3B, methanol, 6637 Cummins BHAF, ZF6 converted, divorced twin stick NP205, Kim Hotstart, Mishimoto elec fans, 2x 14" pushers, 2x 16" pullers on Mishimoto rad.
