When I did my ZF6
conversion the tranny I bought was a 2WD so I went with a divorced NP205. It would be pretty easy for you to do and no electronics involved.
Pickup a front axle assembly from a similar year 4x4
, buy a rebuilt NP205 and NP205 shifter (or twin stick it).
In Canada we have a good NP205 supplier callled Northwest Fabworks, I'm sure they'd sell all the t-case parts you'd need.
You'll need to make a custom mount for your NP205 and you'll need to shorten your rear drive shaft and have a shorty drive shaft for the divorced T/C made as well as a drive shaft for the front axle.
