I have used the Digital Dakota box dc-1 in a few swaps. works flawlessly. Reads off of the alternator field wire into microprosessor, out of micro, into vehicle cam signal wire, back dash harness. I tried a tach tone ring setup once. didn't work with a fluid dampener. So I went with the DD box.
