Desiel+used oil+gas

I am new to desiel trucks. I have always had jeeps and still do. This is what I am planning. I have a 110 gallon transfer tank in my truck. I want to mix 50 gallons used motor oil, 10 gallons 87 octane, and 50 gallons desiel. Am I pissing up a tree or is this a great plan. I have no interested in the vegy oil thing at all. So this is my plan. I have hundreds of used oil at my shop. Any thoughts are welcome.

I am gathering and biulding as we speak. I have a buddy with a body shop and thinking how to add paint thinner to the equation. As for the emmisions that is the reason I live in the Arkansas and not Cali.

You will smoke like a steam locomotive if it runs at all.

Forget the gasoline. It just wrecks your cetane and the truck will run rough.

The used motor oil is OK, but you can't run that much without looking like yourrings/valve guides aare shot.

My advice: six gallons of filtered used motor oil and the rest diesel.

I,m not as worried about MPG's verses just burning what is free and there. My trucks current and future mod,s are 6" lift,37" tires ,4.56, detriot lockers front and rear, over drive unit to be named when purchased, 2500-3000 lb's on the bed at all times.

Re: Desiel+used oil+gas

I've got a buddy with a 24 valve that I think runs 10 gallons of used motor oil per tank in his truck.
It seems to run pretty good doesnt really smoke much or anything.
Figure thats about a 1/4 of the tank motor oil, maybe start there and add more until it just runs like ass.

Have fun dumping all the oil in the tank when you fill up if you try 50 gallons

Re: Desiel+used oil+gas

I did 2.5 gallons and it took like 15 minutes to dump that little bit... Also would a lil bit of waste Veggy oil work with out the convertion... specially during summer? What % would you mix WVO with Diesel so that you can run no convertion?

Re: Desiel+used oil+gas

I've got a 1,000 gal. skid tank full of B100 that I want to put in 100 to 150 gal of WMO. Will it mix by itself or will it have to be agitated? I have a 2 micron filter post pump on the tank + 2 micron on truck FASS system along with the water seperation filter on the FASS system. Is there anything else to consider if going this route? Putting in 150 gal WMO will reduce fuel cost about .44 cents per gal.
