Tailgates

Here’s a scholarly SAE paper on the effects of running with tailgate up or down.

Conclusion: Run with your tailgate up.
Better yet: Get a tonneau cover.

mythbusters did something on this.

also did one is it better to run it with air condition on or windows down.

For Super Duties that depends on your speed.

If you are under 35 MPH, roll the windows down.
If you are over 35 MPH, roll the windows up and turn on the AC.
