before i kill my truck...

i have already canned the dpf, cat, and got it tuned to b a normal ecco unfriendly pickup. i was wondering if i can run off road diesel? i know theres a huge fine and all those scary tales.... ive had 2 dodges and 2 strokes that have ran nothing but.... just my personal pref because i think that it keeps everything running better and longer with better mileage.... but i was wondering if these new trucks can handle anything but ULS diesel?
thanks for the help!

I don't see how the extra lubrication could hurt.

Re: before i kill my truck...

Modern fuel is all the same. They just add the red dye at the pump.

Re: before i kill my truck...

From everything i have heard anything but ULSD is bad. Post this up in the 6.4 area and you will get the same responses.

Re: before i kill my truck...

The only reason ULSD was introduced was because the LSD will clog up the DPFs sooner.

W/o a DPF that engine will love some sulphur.

Be sure to add some used motor oil to your fuel tank as well (seriously) as it will make your fuel so black for several tanks that I assume they would have no way to see the red dye you are running.

Re: before i kill my truck...

I think it is more than the DPF. I would like to see someone who has some miles(2 or more fuel filter chnges) on a 6.4 before i would chance it. Like i said, post in the 6.4 forum and see the replies.
