Emulsify VS Demulsify

Whats the difference ??? I looked up the definitions and they both look to describe the same thing, seperate water from oil, or seperate unlike chemicals.

Re: Emulsify VS Demulsify

A suspension of tiny droplets of one liquid in a second liquid. By making an emulsion, one can mix two liquids that ordinarily do not mix well, such as oil and water.

To break down (an emulsion) into separate substances incapable of re-forming the emulsion that was broken down.

Emulsify describes the mixing together of normally dissimilar liquids. Demulsify describes breaking them back apart such that they can't go back together.
