AEM is the way to go.

The cheapest way is probably a chip, other than that i got nitrogen in my tires, just little things like that can help alot.

Really the best economy gains on these trucks can be had for free. Eliminating idle time and training yourself to optimize your driving for economy are going to be your best bet.

Horrid filtration seems to be the general consensus on the two forums I frequent. If you want to gamble with the risk of dusting your turbo (worse yet, your motor)... carry on as you were.

A quick check would be pulling your induction boot at the turbo inlet. If the turbo wheel looks like it's getting sand blasted, you're treading on thin ice.

Re: cheapest way to get more mpg?

I was just going to order two of the 46637 from fleetfilter.com for my DIY Tymar style intake. 28.86 each and they don't give a flip how I route or upgrade it.

Re: cheapest way to get more mpg?

You use some stock parts and a piece of 4" pipe, some clamps and rig up your own intake.
its a 6637 filter.
