I had to go to Buffalo this weekend, and Friday I put exactly 20 gallons in and hit the road. To make a long story short I currently have 489 miles on the trip od, and my idiot light just came on today. She took another 20 gallons to fill. After the math.....I am getting 21.64 miles to the gallon. Extremely happy with the results. Goes to show the right combination can make a world of difference....Just sharing.

How many gallons are in the tank doesn't matter at all.
Fill all the way up....set the trip meter to zero...drive a while...fill up again.
Divide the miles driven by the gallons it takes to fill up again....
Spending money I don't have on crap I don't need to impress people I don't know.
Because you would have to run the truck out of fuel and you will never get all the fuel out and you might have a 26 gallon tank but when you fill it up all te way to the neck it might hold 30 gallons so do you see why it is best to do it like UNBROKEN said.
