coolmist metenol injection

I am new to te diesel performance so bare with me on all the posts. I have done searches but havn't ran across anything on using the methenol for fuel economy just for hp to cooling the boost, Has anyone tried it? Snow claims they have a kit but it's alot of $ for it.

Re: coolmist metenol injection

Any kit can be used as a MPH kit. Just start spraying a smaller injector very early on, and progressively bring in more water.

Methanol, CNG, and propane. All really the same: a barely controlled auxiliary fuel with very low cetane and has to be "blowtorched" into combustion by the injectors.

They make sense if you can get them cheaper (on a $/MMBTU basis) than No.2. Otherwise, why bother?

Re: coolmist metenol injection

I have never noticed a difference with mine. I just bought it for cooling only...
