Air Dam Installed

I finally shook off the lazies and got my super-MPG air dam installed tonight. It still has the layout lines on it, but I fueled up so I can get an MPG test going.

Clearance: 1" above grade.

Pix and reports to follow.

Re: Air Dam Installeded

One day of driving and everything is A-OK. EGT is down 50-75 degrees at 70 MPH.

Most air dams are of rigid plastic and are vulnerable to road debris and parking curbs. Not mine. It is made of 5/8" thick conveyor belt.

So far the close clearance is not a problem. It only rubs the ground upon braking (nose dive).

Weather permitting, I'll check it out from outside tomorrow.

No pics yet. My camera got the worst of being in my bike's saddlebag. I thought old Canon F1s were indestructible.

I should have a first tankful result by the first of next week. that's just rush results. I normally rely on four tankfuls to average out filling inconsistencies.

Think of your favorite Nextel Cup car. It look like that, only streetable.

Dave, I have two, circa 1976, F1's and an A1. They have several hundred thousand shots on them and still clicking. What ever did you do to stop one??

Left it loose in the saddlebag. For a week. Forgot it was there.
