front and side skirts

Ive never done it but have been wondering, if someone were to put a skirt on the sides and on the front of a lifted truck if the mpg would go up? I know it would look goofy, but just doing it on long trips or something. Ive read that on the semi trailer skirts that they gain about 10% on anything over 55 mph. So it got me thinking if it would work on a pick up the same way.

Re: front and side skirts

Seems like it could help. I am going to put some skirts on the front and sides of my van using some conveyor belt material for some experimentation in the future. Next spring? I'm not lifted or anything, but it is a reasonable step to take, I believe.
