gauge reading 2.4 MPG.wtf?

alright so i have a 6.0, no performances adds and as a whole it is completely stock. i just got done doing the high idle mod and now the gauge is reading out 2.4-3 MPG. before i did the mod it was reading 11-11.5 MPG. i understand that the gauges are never really accurate but it does seem like a problem that it is reading 2.4 MPG. This is my first diesel and the first rig i've ever owned that has had a MPG readout. If anyone knows what is going on and could help that would be great. Thanks!

Re: gauge reading 2.4 MPG.wtf?

it's calibrating when u first reset then after that it doesn't update nearly as fast

so if u idle alot during a reset MPG's will look low

go get on a highway and then reset it ,,
