I tow a bumper pull RV, leaving on a trip with it tomorrow in fact, and lowering the truck to F250 height meant my ball dropped just over 2 inches. It's really not a lot but it makes a huge difference in looks and when loading motorcycles and other items into the bed.
I was a chevy truck owner and those trucks have nice, low, bed heights that make it a pleasure to use. The F250 block swap got me much closer to a reasonable height.
Modern RVs are getting taller so your next RV might not be so bad.
