350/200s 18.6 mpg

Is this possible or did I just get a couple tanks of the good stuff?

The math-844.9 miles / 45.4 gallons

The truck-2000 ECSB 4x4 33s leveling kit, ZF6, SRP1, 350/200s, Gearhead tunes, Sump/RR, 76mm Billet PTE DBB. Amsoil in the motor/tranny/diffs.

The driving-75% was with the cruise at 55-65 mph, 15% on gravel roads at 40-50 mph, the other 5% was conservative stop/go, the other 5% was having fun

Been tweaking with AE to get the tire diameter number dialed in...so the speed on a Garmin matches the odometer, and average timing over 2 or 3 mile markers. Got it nailed before this tank(s)...so now the Garmin/odo match at 70 mph.

Not complaining...just wasn't expecting it, and wondering if there's more to be had

If some is good, more must be better.

Thats awesome. Really shows that a big injector can still be efficient. Good post.

Really good!

Best I can get on my big stuff is 14.5mpg. I suspect that my large turbo results in less efficiency under low load conditions.

I'm officially...Stroke-less.

Not out of line in my opinion. I got 19.3 in my rig but granted that was in very favorable wind conditions and 80% interstate @65mph. I was deffinately stoked.

I'd like to look you up the next time I'm in south central Tx. Meant to do it a couple months ago on my last trip there.

Based on your tuners fuel vs. boost strategy, I'd thought otherwise...low boost=low fuel. If that's wrong...square me a way. Not debating...just throwing another viewpoint out there.

My old crusty non-built factory motor...isn't making near the power yours is...that might have something to do with it as well.

Have you verified your odometer/speedometer with a GPS by chance? You might be getting better mileage than you think. AE can correct for nonstandard tire sizes...

If some is good, more must be better.

Thanks! I thought it might be lucky math...but this is the second 600+ mile/2 tank scenario where the math lined up over 18 mpg. Clipped the internal vent lines nearly flush with the tank when I dropped it for the sump install...so can fill the tank "to the brim" pretty consistently now....so feel pretty confident in my calculations now.

If some is good, more must be better.

Stock 3.73LS. Used the AE function to correct tire size until GPS speed and Odometer needle speed matched. Verified time over 2 and 3 mile markers.
