buying a new or rebulit

trans went out today were do you guys get tranys its a e4od 4*4
shops around here want 1800 to 2200 and thats me doing it . any ideas
or help would be great

97 f 250 4*4 auto 7.3 4 '' ,pipe , chipped,306,480 and counting

Biggest question is how much money are you willing/able to spend. If you can afford it you could get a BTS and never worry about your transmission again.

About 4500 if you can put it in yourself.

im sure its a good trans but my wallet doesnt go that deep
i will have to try something differnt .
