Tran temp sending unit location?

Hey Guys
Sig truck E4OD has the trans temp sending unit mounted on driver's side about an inch off bottom of pan about mid pan (from the front). The pan is the ford updated pan with drain plug in it.

Anyone know what the temp reading diff would be compare to the access port which is higher up on tranny?

Thanks,

jrc

Re: Tran temp sending unit location?

I was told when I added my aftermarket pan that its was alittle hotter in the pan. If this true or not I don't know but if its not true the pan is a complete waste of money. IMO they are anyways.
