This looks to be for a 99-03 - will it work on my '97?

Re: Trans Cooler for my '97 F-350

"If you have any other model of transmission, you will need to check with your repair manual or parts department to see if your transmission is equipped with a bypass valve. If it is, you don't need one. We know that 1994-1996 E4OD transmissions DO NOT have a bypass and will require the unit with the bypass valve. The bypass valve will help these vehicles maintain minimum operating temps of the fluid. "

so basically you would have to get the tru cool 4739 with the bypass valve.

That is a great tranny cooler. My Mom's 97 was getting really hot towing a 3 horse slatn. I installed that and it never goes over 190.

I believe your bts comes with either the v10 cooler or 6.0 cooler.

Re: Trans Cooler for my '97 F-350

Since its an e4od I would assume that you would need it. I would ask another obs owner that has a bts just to make sure.
