Mercron sp in a 4r100?

Went to Ford and got transmission fulid. They sold me sp. Will it hurt my transmission?

Use Mercon or Mercon V only. SP is for the 5R110.

I like to use regular Mercon in them. Mercon V has the friction modifier in it, doesn't seem like a good idea to me. I know Ford said to put it in there, but...

Plain Jane Mercon has friction modifiers too.

I'm aware that there is something in them all. What I was getting at was Mercon V had some stuff added to it that smelled a little bit like the Ford Motorsport modifier.
