transfer case

will a transfer case of a 4r100 work on a e40d

I wonder what my sig and avatar will get changed to now!!

yes it will physically bolt up

Will I hve to do anything special to make the 4x4 shifter work or the driveshafts

If it is manual shift with an actual shift arm then nope you are fine. If it is an electronic shift good luck and have fun determining the wiring. Driveshafts for the superduty ypu pulled the t-case out of will be needed or conversion u-joints.
