tranny issue

Had a 2 hour drive back from work and came 2 a stop light and felt like the tranny slipped. 1st time 2day. Got home waited 30 min left again didn't do it. Its a 2002 with a 7.3 with a mildly built tranny. Any ideas?

Re: tranny issue

Do you mean when you went to take off it felt like it slipped or when you were coming to the stop itself? If when you went to take off it could be low on fluid, heat related problem, torque converter slipping, etc etc.. Is the O?D light flashing or did it flash? since you said 30 min later it didn't do it I would lean toward heat related issue.

Re: tranny issue

Not low on fluid just a bad tranny. Last monday I believe I fried my tranny. I've blown up 3 in 4yrs and it seems 2 b doin the same thing. Pulled out my dipstick and the fluid was gray and smelled burnt. Friend told me I fried my clutches. Pretty sure I shatterd my tc 2.
