Has this ever happened to your torque shift?

Its a 2004. When I try to take it out of park and into drive or reverse, it will not go. I have to move the shifter up and down 25-30 times before it will go into drive. I think it has to do with something in the steering column.

Have you guys ever had this problem? Its going to Ford tomorrow so we will see.

Like you can't get it out of park? Or when you put it in reverse it doesn't move?

If it's the first one look at the brake pedal switch.

If it's the second one, look at the reverse planetary set.

Yes it sometimes has a hard time getting out of park.

Check the wiring to the switch on the brake pedal. Are the taillights working properly? If the brake switch is working. Next would be to check the brake shift interlock in the column...
