Putting a t19 in a 96 7.3

So i have a borg warner t19 that was being used in an 85 460 f350. I want to know if i can use the same bellhousing and transmission to run it on my 96 f350 7.3. Will it hold up and will it work ok?

Re: Putting a t19 in a 96 7.3

the trans would work, but you will need a diesel bell housing. you will need to fabricate a clutch mechanism. then you will have to find a clutch disc that will fit the T19 but work with the powerstroke flywheel.
and you will loose overdrive which will make the truck pretty much useless for driving on the road.

it would be easier and cheaper to just find a diesel ZF5 or ZF6 from a 7.3
