C-6 to a 4EOD?

Is it possible to replace my bad C-6 in my '88 F350 with an mid '90's 4EOD trans? Both are 4X4's.

Re: C-6 to a 4EOD?

You can replace a C6 with an E4OD. It's not going to be easy or cheap, but it can be done.

The E4OD is longer, so the rear drive shaft has to be shorter and the front one longer. The trans mount has to move. And you need a computer and wiring to make this work. You'll also need to add a sensor to the pedal, plus probably a vehicle speed sensor.
