zf parts supplier?

A buddy of mine is looking for small plastic insert in the shift finger called a 'shift isolator'. ZF part 1317 206 004.
Anybody know a shop that carries these type of individual parts for the old 5 speed?

Re: zf parts supplier?

I saw that part on drivetrain.com. Several online sources for ZF parts as well as tranny rebuilders.

Re: zf parts supplier?

Thanks. That's exactly where I found it. I only happened upon them because they have rebuild kits on Ebay.

Actually every other place I emailed or called that I found online during a google/bing/yahoo search didn't respond or sell individual parts. Just overhaul kits, performance upgrades, or whole transmissions. So online resources where not working out for me until I found drivetrain.com.

Re: zf parts supplier?

I'm sorry. That didn't come out right. A few tweaks would be nice, wouldn't they?

I had upgrade on the brain because some sites list the solid flywheel conversion as an "upgrade". Or a short throw shifter. Would've been cool to have scooped everyone on here with a cool mod, though!
