i'm retiring my southbend for a smaller clutch(don't like the touchy ness of this clutch. been looking at the valair clutches. but not to sure bout em. heard a lil bit on them but not much bc all u hear about is southbend. so i guess what i'm asking is what do you guys know about them. and yes i'm looking at this one bc its price...sold my southbend and don't have the extra cash to get the ofe. and also who sells an upgraded fork bc i have a STRONG feeling that mine is bent. thanks for all the help.
here is the website that i'll be ordering it from if that helps any.
i run a valair full ceramic now, but i was using the kevlar/ceramic. if your not running much power through it then that brass woven organic facing w/ the HD spring hub would be decent. i see your wanting affordable so that would definitely be affordable and a smooth clutch. the kevlar/ceramic i used to use was a nice driving clutch as well. it towed very nice as well and has pretty good holding power.
thanks for all the help guys. ordered last nite and he said he would have it shipped this morning so hopefully it won't take long bc the truck is down since i sold the sb tuesday and had it out yesterday and in the other guys truck so mine is down until.
Awesome! glad you got it on the way. it shouldn't take too long. maybe Tuesday, Wednesday? don't know how long it would take to ship from Mineral wells to KY.. hope you get it going soon and tell us how you like it. the only clutches i haven't driven from Valair is the organics and the full kevlar.
Oh and moore20017.3, Dan has my dual disc ready for my OBS. think they are trying to get it set up for the SD as well soon. mine should be the 2nd OBS with a valair dual disc. the first one hit a few sled pulls last year and gets hammered daily driving and towing and works AWESOME, just thought i'd let ya know.
