OD Light - Trip Reset?

1997 F-250 HD 7.3.
Intermittent OD light flashes and transmission shifts hard. When is happens, if I reset the trip meter, everything goes back to normal. Does this make any sense? Already changed vss and pigtail and cleaned inside rear diff. Do I need a new cluster/psom??

No, that doesn't make any sense. Are there any codes stored when the light flashes?

Re: OD Light - Trip Reset?

Code was for vss sensor. Changed sensor and pigtail. Since vss is wired into psom along with odometer, I thought maybe there was a psom issue?
