E4OD 1/2" lines from/to tranny with V10 cooler?

So I picked up a V10 sized cooler from my used parts guys. The 6oh is too big on account of IC in the way ( tried to fit the 6 but it didn't make sense). So when I hook up the V10 Cooler it has threaded ends in the cooler and was wondering if I should use 1/2 inch lines to/from tranny to rad cooler connections and to V10 cooler?

As I will go to my hydraulic shop to make up the lines (if you guys think it's a good idea) wondering what the fitting size is on the transmission return and outlet and any suggestions on hose type?

While I'm at it is it worth putting in an inline filterhead with pressure by pass on it and what pressure does the fluid run at max pressure?

Was thinking I would mount the V10 cooler in the bumper vent holes....anything else I should be thinking when I do this mod??

thanks in advance,

jrc

I have looked at doing the same thing. I know that when I swapped a 97 into my 94 I had to change the output line to a 3/8 and the return was still a 5/16. The V10 does look like it would work a whole lot better for an OBS.

BTS puts the V10 cooler in the bumper on the OBS trucks, that's where they mounted mine. They just plumbed it in with new hose the way the original cooler was and changed the one fitting in the bottom of the radiator on the driver's side to a push-lok fitting.
