6.0l or v10 trans cooler

a simple question, is there a specific year to ask for when looking for a trans cooler if i look for a used one? Late 03, 04, 05 ect?

99 F250 2wd
4" MBRP full
WW2 with back pressure valve delete
IAH delete
PHP Hydra
K/N

They are not all the same, but it doesn't matter. 2003-2005 had a 31 row cooler. 2005-2010 had a 26 row cooler. The 26 row cooler had internal improvements that made it cool just as well as the larger cooler.

The V10 cooler is smaller and not as good as the 6.0L cooler. It's better than what you have, but not as good as the 6.0L cooler.

interesting stuff there
i just had to order a trans cooler and the OEM for my 06 was 400 bucks

i was going to get the 31 row now I am glad I stuck to my VIN when i ordered
