Unhappy HELP!!!LOCK UP DROPS IN/OUT

MY '95 F350 WILL SHIFT FINE ALL THE WAY TO OD. THEN WHILE CRUSING ABOUT 55-60MPH I CAN FEEL THE TC DROP PUT AND THE TACH RISES ABOUT 500RPM'S.IF I PRESS ON THE PEDAL A LITTLE YOU CAN FEEL IT LOCK UP AGAIN LET OFF A LITTLE AND IT UNLOCKS. THE OD LIGHT NEVER BLINKS AND THERE ARE NO CODES.

Check your lamps, or did you swap LEDs recently. The PCM reads voltage throught the brake lamp circuit for TC lockup. Has your ABS light came on?

I do have LEDs in the rear! No ABS light. Should I install an isolation relay in the brake light circut?

Either that or a resistor. If you can find the package that the lamps came in it will tell you what to do to fix the problem.

Or it could just be that your TC is locking and unlocking and taking a dump. Mine was doing that with no codes or anything. Then before the TC was able to completely quit my clutches burned up, seems like the TC can often times start to go then cause other weak components to fail before it does.

Checking the LED's is worth a try, but running LED's usually cause the torque converter to stay locked when on the brakes, not go back and forth...

Re: HELP!!!LOCK UP DROPS IN/OUT

Do you have chip or programmer on there? If you do pull it for a day and drive it then put it back in.

My truck did that one day out of the blue. I pulled the chip put it back in and no problems.
