intermittent shifting Problems

I recently had my injector harness replaced. Not sure whether it has
anything to do with this but now at speeds of 40 thru 65 my trans likes to intermittently shift from 4th to third. Back and forth it goes. One trans shop says I need to rebuilt my trans another shop says there
is nothing wrong however, they pulled a code 0500 (open circuit) which has to do with the VSS (sensor or wiring). I took it to another shop and they said its my valve body in the transmission that causes shifting issues. I wonder if I would be better off just having the trans
rebuilt. Any thoughts?
