Re: tranny rattle

I know exactly what it is... It's an early 99. I hated that. You'll be happier the sooner you get a new TC. I don't know that it will hurt your truck, but it's just really obnoxious.

Re: tranny rattle

hey ryan...sound like a a bunch of rocks in a can? if so...that's your TC. I know some people that drive on em for up to a year like this before they crapped out for good but i think you're on borrowed time bud.

2005 CC FX4...compounds and everything else that goes with em.

Re: tranny rattle

I have a late '99 and the new TC made a HUGE difference. Mine had a drone and vibration (along with the marbles in a can sound)...now it's very quiet and smooth.. should have done this years ago....

Re: tranny rattle

You can get a 6.0 TC and use it with an adapter from John Wood if still sells them. Or you could get a PI Stallion and be done with it. I love mine.

Re: tranny rattle

Mine was like that I pulled the trailer in my sig for several yrs without a problem. I only replaced it cause I had to replace the frt seal and while it was out I took advantage of the labor cost and put a new one in. That noise is nature of the beast. Doesn't mean it's going bad. But the new one is more pleasant to the ears.

John Wood , Racer X They are both sponsors here. Whats a reasonable price to you?, how are you going to use the truck? I have a P I stallion in my truck but it costs to get one of the best out there.
