I am going to be sick!!!

Well, I went to the dump and playing in the truck a little. I made a few hard passes after I left the dump and my eldest son asked what this "sssshhhhhhkkkkkk" sound was after it shifted and I did not know what he was talking about except maybe the tires. Then the other one said the same thing yet I did not notice any tire marks like on the way to the dump. Then I pulled up to the stop sign two blocks form home and the dead TC sound was there. The whole "coffee can full of marbles" sound that I have had three other instances in this truck. Now my stomach is in my throat. My wife is out of work and now I am even more afraid to drive my truck. The thought of a higher bill to get my truck running right is not a good feeling. I have linked a video I made in the driveway. Just pay attention the sound changes in and out of gear. We all love videos right????

I have already called JW's shop and left a message for him to give me a holler.

Re: I am going to be sick!!!

mines been junk for over a year.Cat heard it this summer.Been driving it for about 15,000 or more miles like that because I was out of work.Just can't floor it or really go over 1/4 throttle or it slips. You should be fine for awhile like that if I made it over a year and 2 trips to the sand dunes and a trip to an offroad park.

Re: I am going to be sick!!!

sounds like mine did when the flex plate broke. the whole center of my flex place was gone. also when mine went the truck would still drive and when you would put it in gear it would go away sometimes.

Re: I am going to be sick!!!

John says flex plate.

He said I don't make enough power to waste his converter.

Re: I am going to be sick!!!

I talked to John today and he said to check the flexplate at bolts and check for any cracks. He said I don't make enough power to blow his TC.

I found the TC bolts to be only finger tight I pulled the bolts and the holes were not elongated so I must have caught it early according to John. All is quiet now. John talked to me twice today and never once did his voice sound annoyed for calling like I have gotten from other shops.

Thank you John Wood !!!!!
