Trans temp sender size?

hey

what size is the port plug tap?

i need to buy a temp sender so i can have all the gauges working, but i cant find what size the hole is.... 1/4NPT ? 3/8NPT?

Im not an expert, but I believe you need to buy the sender that is specific to your brand of gauges. I would ask Autometer if they could get you one. They might be all universal though. Good luck.

yeah, the senders are universal.

i brought in my autometer one to my work to try and find the dam nipple that screws into the ehxaust, well needless to say i had to buy another pyrometer just for the nipple. even had the same part number on it as the CAT and Paccar ones.

so im going to assume the temp senders are the same also, venerable resistance by temperature.

just need to know what size to get, the transmission ones are probably 3/8" npt, where as the rear's are 1/2npt

The test port in the side of the transmission is 1/8" NPT dryseal thread.
