Tranny Options for my '02 4r100 Fummins

So I have an ATS tranny that I put in the truck about 4-5 years ago. I put in a compound turbo, twin CP3, etc, etc, 5.9 CR. At that time, I took out the triple loc ATS converter and put a new lower stall 4 disc converter in it that I got from Spec-Rite. I have noticed the tranny slipping for a couple of months and have been babying it. Now it slips so bad it will barely move and last time I dove it there was a puddle of tranny fluid.

What is the best way I should go for 650HP on a 4R100? It was an ATS, so should I just do a heavy duty rebuild? How do I tell for sure if it had billet parts in it? It was from a few years back so I want to make sure it does have them going forward. Did ATS have different levels of performance back then.

Don't go ATS. With your location, I would DEFINATELY go to John Wood. If you look in our sponsor area, you'll see him. He's definately one of the best. Especially on the west coast.

Yeah was never happy with the ATS, it blew up on me with less than 10K, they did fix it but I never liked it. It felt like I was driving around with my E-Brake on all the time.

The ATS is what I'm looking to fix or replace.

I've had no problems with my BTS in my conversion truck. Brian has had a lot of feedback on different stall converters and has them dialed in.

Give BTS a call..
