Re: idi trans

You would have the E4OD, unless by shifting smoother you mean your dumping the clutch,in which case you would have the zf5.

Re: idi trans

Might be the pre E4OD the AOD. Is it a 3sp or does it have OD?

Re: idi trans

The AOD was never installed with an IDI. It could be either an E4OD or a C6. Does it have an OD OFF button on the dash?

Re: idi trans

well i took it for a drive today, and i made it back. It is only a three speed, and there is no over drive button on the dash. It doesn't want to shift so i am not sure what to do, or if that can be fixed at all.

Re: idi trans

It's a C6. Of course it can be fixed. It's just a question of what's wrong and how expensive it is to fix.

Re: idi trans

C6s are not hard to fix & parts tend to be reasonably priced.

Re: idi trans

all right. so it slams into gear, when it shifts. it just really doesn't want to shift up. what does that mean, what needs to be fixed becuase i just don't know.
