E4OD to ZF5 in 1997

After spending a pile on parts for my E40D and then it left me on the side of the road. It's going bye bye. I bought a 93 F350 5 speed and I pick it up tomorrow. Which year/size clutch do I need for this conversion. Other than the pedals, master cylinder, cross member, trans and shifter. What else am I going to need ?

What engine was in the truck that donated the ZF5? What engine is in your truck? Are either/both trucks 4x4?

Column cover is different.

Re: E4OD to ZF5 in 1997

Okay, bolt patterns are the same. Just spec a clutch AND flywheel for a '97 PSD manual. Most opt for a single-mass flywheel, as the OEM dual-mass is a time bomb.

Do you have the rest of the donor truck to scavenge from? That's your best bet, for pedal box, column cover, hydraulics, etc. Otherwise, generally, check the OBS section here, and the Ford / OBS PSD sections of the other various forums; there's a ton of threads on the subject.
