tranny cooler

i have a 99, with a zf6, which just had a leak in the radiator, where the tranny fluid also runs to get cooled off, putting coolant in the radiator.

question is this: was gonna pick up a new radiator tomorrow, but the autos have a seperate cooler for the tranny....
would i be ok buyin and mounting this seperate cooler, pluggin up the radiator where my tranny lines go in, and just doing a few good flushes on it?

thinking about long term, potential for leaking again, and running with coolant in the tranny again, and the damage that may cause...

thanks

Re: tranny cooler

Best to have the water cooled trans oil as opposed to just the air/liquid .

now just hoping the tranny holds up, was a little better first go round, with the new fluids, just re-flushed and fixin to test again
