Transmissions?

Lately I have had some issues with my tranny in my 02. Was on a long trip home and found to be that all the tranny fluid leaked all out. so after i limped home with the help of some trans. stop leak i have decided that i may have smoked the TC.Well im not monkieing around with that im going all out and looking at a ATS stage 2 trans. but before i sign my life way I wanna know if you guys have any better suggestions for a better than or equal to the ATS(cheaper too) no rebuilds. THANKS!!

2001 F-250 7.3 auto rclb xl trim all stock with a Fisher MM2 7.5' plow, work in progress

2015 RAM 3500 cclb 6.7 cummins auto all stock grocery getter

2008 F-350 cab and chassis w/ 9 foot reading service body 6.4 stroke ,auto, all stock GVW 11,500 all day every day 222,xxx and some how its still on the road!

im not sure how much the ats stage 2 is but i would go with a transmission form brian at BTS. From what i have read on here he makes one of the best transmissions for these trucks.

Stay far away from ATS. You would be better off throwing a used one off a craigslist then getting an ATS. Get a BTS.

I think your pretty much gunna hear ATS sucks from everyone there are alot better options out there to build your trans

I dont understand why ATS is so bad. i thought they were supposed to be really good? Any reason why the are so despised.

Just search on here and you will see a TON of ATS trans failure threads, especially when it comes to the 5R110. I haven't seen many threads about ATS 4R100 failures, but then again I don't really read 7.3 threads...

Failures are bad enough, but when a company will not stand behind their warranties it is unacceptable.

9. If you have trouble with an ATS part, you may not, under any circumstance, bring any legal action against ATS under the terms of this warranty outside of Jefferson County, Colorado.
