Pushlok or braided cooler lines?

Anybody ever run pushlok hose or braided hose from the trans to the cooler and back? My cooler lines are leaking and there's a hydraulic shop up the street where I can get what I need, or I can go to Ford and just get new hard lines, but I'd rather try something different. Does anyone know the fitting sizes I would need? I assume the stock line size is 5/16"? I would like to switch to 3/8" since my Tru-cool max cooler came with 3/8 barbs

Re: Pushlok or braided cooler lines?

To my understanding there's adapters in the trans case that the hard lines screw into, would I do away with them and get fittings that fit the case, or get fittings that fit the adapter?
