Whats the deal with billet converters? i feel like i want the factory tech valve body, do they work? a friend just had brians truck stop do one , but he dropped 4300. really dont want to do that much...want to keep around 2 grand in it. not a puller(yet) and nothing real heavy to tow on a regular basis....

Man all I can say is every BTS we have installed has been put through hell and they still shift like new. look at the camo truck: 1088 HP with a BTS and still going strong.

Re: e4od Needs rebiuld, BUT WHO?

What are your plans?

If you are fixing the truck for sale soon, Aamco or Jasper, whichever is cheaper at the time. Remember, you won't get anything much for the extra you spend on the trans

If you are thinking of selling the truck in a year and have few mods to speak of, get a Ford reman. Why? See above and you don't want it breaking so soon on you.

If you think you will keep the truck for longer than that, get a BTS. The written warranty is 2 yrs but he will keep fixing it for you.

01 Excursion 7.3L Powerstroke. Gauges with AIH Delete, AIS, CCV Mod, 4' MBRP, BTS Trans, 6.0L Trans Cooler and Intercooler, DP-Tuner F5 chip, ITP In Tank Mod and Boost Annihilator, Diesel Innovation's Regulated Fuel kit, BTS Big Oil system, GTP38R Turbo with 1.15 A/R housing and BPD Stage II AC injectors. Bilstein Shocks with U front and A Rear.
