E4OD reverse issue

So I just put in a rebuilt transmission tonight after I stripped the splines off the torque converter. I get the fluid in and it feels like it slips when you push on the accelerator in reverse, the engine speeds up and you can feel it "catch" it will repeat this any time it is brought back to idle and at minimum to maximum fluid levels. It seems to fe fine in drive and goes through the gears as it should.
Any thoughts before I drive it to the shop tomorrow?

Re: E4OD reverse issue

If it has enough fluid there is something wrong inside the reverse clutch. Probably a bad seal.

Re: E4OD reverse issue

Thanks Mark. Which seal? I don't think it is a fluid issue just because it seemed to be the same even when I tried it a bit "over full" and everywhere in between last night.

Re: E4OD reverse issue

So the shop guy thinks he forgot to torque the 3 bolts on that little plate by the valve body and solenoid body can't remember what it is called so the fluid is blowing by. Hopefully that is all it is.
