NV-5600 in a 7.3?

Just wondring if anyone has done this swap and where to get any info. Thanks Lill Pete.

Should be possible with an adapter plate and some fabrication. Not sure if anyone has done it though.

Just curious at to why you would do that? The zf-6 would be WAY cheaper to put in i would think...

I've heard from some that they like it better, I don't quite know enough about it.

It would definatly be easier to throw in a zf6. What I'm wondering is if the NV series hydraulics are any better.

FWIW some of the dodge guys are looking at swapping in zf-6's in their trucks since the nv-5600 and g-56 are so expensive to rebuild. I am not sure if they will hold any more power, but some seem to think so.

2005 Chevy 3500 crew cab dually allison auto.
2007 dodge 3500 QC dually 5.9 cummins, 6-spd.

if you were going through all that work why wouldnt you just swap engine and transmission, that way you would have an engine to work with?

97 f-350 4x4 sc 5 speed 4.10 afe, 4 inch exhaust, ts 6 pos. chip, 1.0 housing, smf, sd intercooler

84 F-250 RCLB 4x4 6.9 4SP factory turbo
