4r100 shudder

My transmission has started shuddering? between the 3 to 4 and 4 back to 3 shift. Will shake the truck back and forth under moderate acceleration while towing. Under hard acceleration it's not noticeable. Without the trailer it shifts fine. Trans has 30k miles since full rebuild. Happens in all tunes. Any ideas?

Re: 4r100 shudder

It has a new precision industries stallion convertor. Is there a way to test the convertor while in the truck?

Re: 4r100 shudder

its not the converter. If it was it'd do it all the time on every shift. You either have a problem with the 3-4 shift valve (sticking) or a pressure loss on that clutch set. Shudder is slipping more or less. i'd pull the pan and check things out.
