looking at buying a lifted 03, what to expect

Looking at buying a 2003 f350 , crew cab long bed, automatic, with 14" of lift and 40" tires, has 5:13 ring and pinion, and an edge programmer

Owner says it gets 8mpg .

I have a 28 ft toy hauler i tow over a few grades. What should i expect? think it will tow decent?

Lastly, are there any ways of getting better fuel mileage?

first off take out those 5.13 gears and put in some 4.56's and it will get better fuel mpg's 5.13's it is probably crusing @ 3000 rpm.

Early 99, 12" lift, 4" straight pipe 6" tip, tymar, Edge Juice w/ attitude, Edge Evolution, DDP injectors, Zoodad mod, CCV mod, crossover line, Return shimed, 38/15.50/18 Toyo MT's 4.56 gears and ARB, Water/Meth injection, Tru speed, 300k on the dial, more mods on the wish list.

find out if he has done any transmission upgrades if not I would do a John woods valve body and a tugger kit for towing your toy hauler!

Look at the front suspension and see how it is done? If you can take some pics and post them up.

Re: looking at buying a lifted 03, what to expect

Is it a good lift setup, or was it rigged to work? I would say the tranny has taken some strain from the setup. Does it even have a front driveshaft? A good set of pics posted on here would be a good start.
