Aftermarket Valve Body?

hey guys

so i am working on build the truck, slowly but surely. and with getting the gauges and hopefully tuner soon, i am thinking about the trans. is it good to do the valve body to save on the clutches for the mean time before a BTS build?

i have seen some valve bodys advertised on different websites but dont know which is worth the $

i do a daily driving, thousands of miles a month, and towing on the weekends

fwiw i have rebuilt a few Allision automatics 1000,2400's so i got half a clew. anyone have a break down of the 4R's?

Re: Aftermarket Valve Body?

I bought a BTS valve body. Its awesome. Used to slip in the higher power settings when it shifted, now they are solid. Plus if you plan on gettin a BTS trans one day, they will credit you some for that valve body.

DIY Intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, GTP38R, AIH Delete, Isspro gauges, TW chip, 6.0 Intercooler, BTS Transmission

Re: Aftermarket Valve Body?

I got a valve body from racer x, when driving normal shifts quick and firm but not harsh and shifts like race car when driving it like one. If your lookg at doi the BTS later on, of they will credit you for the valve body later that is what I would do.

Re: Aftermarket Valve Body?

Id go with BTS, straight from BTS. From what i read, customer service is second to none. Along with the work he does. Any more transmission problems and thats where i would go. Do a search and read about them. Nothing but great news from them.

02 F250. Turbonetics, SRP1, Tim from P.I.S built Hybrids, Built Trans, Afe Stage 2, HPX line. Tuned by Jonathan from Beans, 4 inch exhaust, with the muffler. Triple Phantom 2 gauges. Forged Rods and with another block. 500hp.

Re: Aftermarket Valve Body?

I have the sonnax/tricumulator from Diesel Innovations and love it. I think David sells them for around 60 and it's a simple and pretty quick install!

After driving my truck with my Sonnax/Tri, and driving my brother's without it, I really realized what a difference it makes! Night and day.
