what the typical wait on a bts

sent my truck to the trans shop and they called today and told me its shot, ive always wanted a bts but was wondering how long the wait is for one. i dont drive the truck everyday but do need it to haul cattle in 2-3 weeks. ill give him a call on monday and see what they say but just trying to get an idea of what to do. also about how much are they running these days, i already have a new 6.0 cooler so i wont need that. thanks

Re: what the typical wait on a bts

I called BTS last week and I think I talked to Linda if i remember her name and she said Brian builds your trans in one day and then ships it out that day. So is sounds really fast depending on the shipping company and how fast they can work....

I needed one in a hurry over a year ago in my truck. It was my plow truck and needed it in a bad way. Called on a Tuesday and Brian had one to me by Monday the next week!

I think the long wait is for Braian doing the R&R at his place. Which is what I would recommend. It appears if you are having one shipped it is much quicker, but cost more.

The charge is the same for the tranny if they do the install or ship it to you and you have the cost of shipping the rebuilt to you and the cost of shipping the core back. You do save on the sales tax if it is shipped out of Arkansas.

Re: what the typical wait on a bts

I just got mine last week and I waited 5 weeks for it. BTS has a waiting list because he's got a sh*t ton of work, not because he works slow.

Well worth the wait. Brian, Patty, and Tina have all been a pleasure to work with!

Early 99 F-350
4" lift on 33's. Daily Driver/ Plow truck.
Swamp's Gen3, 300/200's, Tuning, 76mm Sledgehammer. BTS. Fuel system, ARP's, P-Rods, 910's, and a few other things. Stock Block.
SOLD

Re: what the typical wait on a bts

When I was in there he said they could turn several trans's around each day...but its just the long wait list that makes it take forever...if you let them know you need it he might squeeze you in ahead of the folks just ordering with no rush...Brian is super-helpful if you can get him on the phone
