Looking for new Tranny, Is it the 4r100?

Me and my dad are looking for a new transmission right now and for some reason he thinks its something like e40d b/c the torque converter said that, can someone help me clarify this so we don't buy the wrong type? lol its a late 99.

1999.5 F-250 Crew Cab Short bed 4x4
Superchips Cortex, K&N Air filter, 4inch MBRP exhaust, and 7inch lift.

Yep without a doubt 4r100

oh okay, so how come the torque converter said that on it? will it fit both or something.

Is there anything anyone could recommend out in so cal or near here for good trannys for a decent price?

John Wood Automotive in Holtville, Ca builds some of the best. I have one of his valve bodies in mine. He can build it as strong as you need it. He stands behind his stuff also.
